Main research areas:
- Phytochemical and pharmacological study of plant species with therapeutic potential – identification, isolation and characterization of bioactive compounds; correlation of the phytochemical profile with biological activities.
- Research of native plant resources and optimization of their use in phytotherapy – evaluation of the quality of plant material; standardization of extracts; establishment of phytochemical markers.
- Development of pharmaceuticals and cosmetics based on natural extracts – formulation, characterization and evaluation of products made from plant extracts, including stability, safety and efficacy studies.
- Advanced cosmetology: active ingredients of natural origin and their interaction with the skin – mechanisms of action at the skin level, in vitro and in vivo evaluations, safety and tolerability of cosmetic products.
- Quality control, analytical and evaluation of impurities in pharmaceutical and cosmetic products – development and validation of analytical methods; application of HPLC, GC-MS, spectroscopy and other modern techniques.
